Abbey is a recent graduate from Federation University with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) degree. Abbey discovered a passion for Music Theatre at The Performance Studio at age eight and has since, consistently trained in musical theatre, acting, singing, screen and all styles of dance.
In 2019, Abbey was one of ten chosen to be mentored by Queenie van de Zandt as part of a six month professional masterclass intensive with AMTA. Between February and April 2019, Abbey toured and performed for high school students across NSW in the lead role of Bronte as part of The Smashed Project (Tim Watt, Gibber Australia) and in December 2019, played the lead role in the short film Down Under (Estelle Brision, Sydney Film School). In September 2018, she played the role of Vera in Funny Girl (Adam Haynes, Theatre & Company) at the Riverside Theatres. Abbey was a member of the NSW Arts Unit State Drama Company in 2014 and State Senior Drama Ensembles for two years prior. She performed Cyberbile (Paul Viles, NSW Arts Unit) at the Wharf Theatre and was awarded the Pinchgut Opera Prize for Outstanding Commitment. Abbey will be touring with Bard on the Beach this year for their season of Romeo and Juliet.
Abbey has attended masterclasses with many industry professionals including Queenie Van de Zandt, Simon Burke, Tom Hodgson and Luke Hunter and has travelled to America to attend workshops at Stella Adler, The Edge Dance Studio and TVi Studios Hollywood.
Abbey is delighted to be teaching at The Performance Studio having been nurtured and mentored by Brendan, Yvette and Gai at TPS since 2005.[/vc_column_text]
